The League’s Largest-Ever Transport Of Homeless Pets Coming This Weekend!

The largest transport to date of homeless pets will be arriving at the North Fork Animal Welfare League on Saturday.

According to NFAWL Director of Operations Gabrielle Stroup, the 40 dogs, which are coming from high-kill shelters in Georgia, will be split between the shelter's two locations, at 269 Peconic Lane in Peconic and at 324 Church Lane in Aquebogue.

Dogs will be available for visiting starting Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at both shelters.

The transport will include litters of puppies, kittens, small adult dogs, medium, and large adult dogs, Stroup said.

"We are super excited to be able to help so many animals," Stroup said.
