Jack was part of the original team that started America’s Test Kitchen, beginning with the launch of Cook’s Illustrated in 1993. He directed the launch of Cook’s Country magazine in 2005 and the building of the company’s book publishing division.
Jack is the tasting lab expert on ATK’s television shows, and he leads the creative teams working on the company’s TV shows, magazines, books, websites, and online cooking school.
Jack is the author of several cookbooks, including Vegetables Every Day and The Complete Italian Vegetarian Cookbook.

Lauren Chattman is a cookbook author, freelance writer, and former professional pastry chef. Lauren’s recipes have appeared in Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Cook’s Illustrated, and the New York Times. She is the author of fourteen books, including Cake Keeper Cakes and Cookie Swap!.
She has also co-authored numerous books, including Dessert University with former White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier. With Susan Matheson, she is co-author of The Gingerbread Architect. Her best-selling collaboration with YouTube star Maangchi, Real Korean Cooking with Maangchi, was released in 2015. With artisan baking expert Daniel Leader, she is the co-author of the IACP award-winning Local Breads and the James Beard winner Living Bread.
